She built her house in her spare time, while still working for a boss. Because of this, the construction took much longer than anticipated. It took almost six years to complete the construction.
During the construction process, sustainable building materials were used, which was time-consuming and as such, another reason why it took so long. Macy plans to take this house on a trip in the future.
