The renovation of the house certainly did not go quite as planned. The roof was in very bad condition, allowing the rain to soak everything inside, and it needed to be replaced. They insulated it right away to save money on the energy bill.
You would hardly recognize the house; it has been completely renovated, from top to bottom. In the end, the residents had to take out a loan because the costs were higher than expected, partly due to the poor condition of the roof. The house is now energy efficient and solar panels will be placed on the roof.
The owners are now renting out the house, earning money from it every month. Meanwhile, they have also bought a new building to repeat the whole process. Most people would not even consider taking on such a project, but it has been an investment of a lifetime for these people.
